This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop and execute Freenome’s comprehensive revenue cycle strategy across the enterprise.
• Build, mentor, and nurture a high-performing team while promoting a culture of accountability, ongoing improvement, and a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
• Establish and manage all processes related to coding, claims submission, reimbursement, and accounts receivable oversight.
• Supervise the efficiency and effectiveness of intake services, which include benefit verification, financial counseling, prior authorization, and customer call center operations.
• Collaborate with Market Access to foster robust payer relationships, ensuring optimal reimbursement rates and adherence to contract terms.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including those from CMS and value-based care initiatives.
• Utilize AI, ML, automation, and analytics to enhance revenue cycle performance, decrease denials, intake duration, and overall collection costs.
• Work alongside Sales, Market Access, and Commercial Operations leadership to ensure seamless integration of revenue cycle processes with patient care workflows.
• Define, monitor, and analyze revenue cycle KPIs, drive continuous improvement, and deliver strategic insights and actionable recommendations to executive leadership.
• Manage the annual budget, ensuring effective resource allocation to meet organizational objectives.
• Cultivate strong relationships with customers by proactively addressing financial challenges and aligning solutions with their operational and clinical requirements.
• Act as a trusted and essential contributor to the Finance organization and Senior Leadership Team, participating actively in Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and offering strategic insights on revenue cycle performance, reimbursement optimization, and payer trends.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, healthcare administration, or a related field (MBA or MHA preferred).
• 12+ years of progressive experience in revenue cycle management, ideally in the molecular diagnostics or precision diagnostics sectors.
• 6+ years of leadership experience in revenue cycle management, focusing on building and leading high-performance teams.
• 4+ years of P&L responsibility.
• Extensive knowledge of payer contracting, reimbursement methodologies, and healthcare finance.
• Proven track record in scaling revenue cycle operations for a growing healthcare organization.
• Commitment to leveraging AI and automation to optimize systems and processes.
• Strong planning and cross-functional collaboration skills, with a demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement.
• Comprehensive understanding of compliance (CMS, HIPAA, Stark Law, etc.) and regulatory considerations in infusion services.
