This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the Global Communications Strategy for Workiva
• Create and implement a cohesive global strategy that effectively communicates the company's strategy, AI advancements, product value, regulatory developments, and customer engagement through captivating narratives
• Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and the leadership team
• Develop authentic platforms for executive thought leadership, including media preparation, speechwriting, and executive social media strategy
• Set communication priorities, agency governance frameworks, and measurable KPIs that align external storytelling with business objectives
• Direct external communications efforts, corporate announcements, media relations, awards, and thought leadership initiatives
• Function as a senior spokesperson for the company when appropriate
• Manage crisis communication strategies in collaboration with Legal, Security, People & Culture, Investor Relations, and Corporate Partnerships
• Lead public affairs and strategic communication initiatives to enhance Workiva’s global reputation
• Define and implement high-visibility positioning for C-suite executives—particularly the CEO and CFO
• Compose executive speeches, keynote addresses, social media content, and event narratives linked to significant company announcements
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in communications, including senior leadership roles in B2B SaaS, enterprise technology, or similarly intricate global businesses
• Bachelor’s degree or a comparable blend of education and professional experience
• Demonstrated success in leading enterprise communications within a public or late-stage global B2B SaaS company with revenues exceeding $1 billion
• Outstanding business acumen and presence, with a history of acting as a peer advisor to CEOs, CFOs, and Board members
• Deep understanding of B2B SaaS growth drivers, enterprise sales processes, investor expectations, and public market requirements
• Established senior-level relationships with top-tier business, financial, and technology media, along with a proven ability to influence high-level coverage
• Proven experience in building public affairs programs and positioning leaders at prestigious global events
• Demonstrated ability to navigate complex corporate crises, regulatory changes, or sensitive reputational challenges with calm and authoritative judgment
• Experience in setting communications KPIs that directly connect public relations, public affairs, and executive positioning to corporate strategy and ROI
