
Vice President of Sales – Health Plans

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Achieving established targets for bookings, revenue, and margins within the designated business segment.
• Formulating and implementing a business plan along with sales strategies that are in alignment with the overarching business goals.
• Cultivating and overseeing a developing team of sales professionals.
• Establishing and nurturing essential customer relationships with targeted accounts.
• Maintaining an extensive understanding of products and market dynamics.
• Engaging in cross-functional teams that support all customer-facing roles within the assigned geographic area.
• Facilitating and negotiating intricate contracts with major national and regional payer accounts.
• Selling to senior leaders and C-level executives at both National and Regional Health Plans.
• Managing and preparing sales support for significant prospect meetings, whether in person or via phone.
• Taking full responsibility for pursuing and finalizing RFI/RFPs.
• Overseeing contract review and management (MSA, SOW, SLAs).
• Providing support for meetings and trade shows as needed, including scheduling necessary executive meetings and attending key industry trade events (e.g., AHIP, RISE, Risk Adjustment Summits, Blues Summit).
• Proven track record of establishing strategic relationships, selling, and closing complex deals in the Health Plan/Payer sector.
• Demonstrated success in leading sales strategy and driving revenue growth within value-based care, with extensive expertise in quality, risk adjustment, and associated care delivery funding models.
• A minimum of 7 years of senior-level sales experience in Health Plans is required.
• At least 7 years of experience in leading and scaling high-performing sales teams, with direct responsibility for revenue outcomes.
• A Bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in selling within complex environments is essential.
• Strong analytical skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and presentation expertise.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• High level of personal organization, time management, and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-demand setting.
• Willingness to travel 50-75% of the time.
