Business Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Cultivate the designated territory through various established and potential channels of the Business Development Team.

• Oversee the current client portfolio in the region to foster organic growth via new business creation and retention, while actively seeking and establishing new relationships.

• Regular travel required to meet with new, existing, and potential clients in the territory, collaborating closely with underwriting and Business Development Team leadership to deliver exceptional service for our clients and their insured parties.

• Engage in strategic planning for the growth and expansion of your territory, including the development of new products and other production-related initiatives.

• Act as an advocate for clients and a consultative advisor regarding the company’s offerings and the broader marketplace.

• Partner with underwriting personnel to collaboratively build relationships.

• Network with industry partners at events and establish yourself as a key resource for the assigned territory.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possesses a bachelor's degree or equivalent education and professional experience.

• At least 3 years of experience in the insurance sector, particularly in professional liability insurance.

• Exhibits a high degree of energy, professional persistence, relationship-building skills, sales proficiency, and self-motivation.

• Demonstrates outstanding communication, time management, and teamwork abilities, while consistently striving for results.

• Has a successful history of achieving targeted outcomes.

• Holds necessary licenses or is capable of obtaining them in a timely manner.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time within the designated territory and participate in industry events.
