This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.
• Develop and implement the North American sales strategy.
• Build and oversee a high-quality sales pipeline targeting enterprise manufacturing opportunities.
• Identify and secure key customers within our target sectors, managing pilot projects and converting them into licensing revenue.
• Position Productive Machines as a trusted technology partner for prominent manufacturers.
• Collaborate closely with the leadership team to refine commercial strategy and market positioning.
• Create new opportunities through your established network and proactive outreach.
• Manage the entire enterprise sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing.
• Identify and assess high-value manufacturing opportunities.
• Craft compelling business cases that showcase measurable enhancements in machining productivity, cycle time, tool life, and manufacturing capacity.
• Transform technical value into persuasive commercial business cases.
• Directly sell to organizations through roles that encompass CAM programmers, senior machinists, operations personnel, and leadership teams.
• Conduct product demonstrations and executive presentations.
• Oversee paid pilot programs leading to enterprise software implementation.
• Negotiate commercial agreements and finalize enterprise software deals.
• Work collaboratively with customers to:
• - Identify appropriate pilot projects.
• - Collaborate with the technical team to ensure successful proof-of-value pilot engagements.
• - Transition pilots into enterprise software rollouts.
• - Build long-term customer relationships, upsell opportunities, and reference accounts.
• Collect competitive intelligence.
• Identify emerging trends in manufacturing.
• Provide market insights to inform product development.
• Influence pricing, packaging, and future commercial strategies.
• Assist in defining the future of the North American sales organization and recruiting additional commercial talent.
• Over 10 years of experience in selling enterprise industrial technology.
• Proven track record in generating and closing new business.
• Strong existing network in aerospace, defense, automotive, medical devices, or precision manufacturing sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to consistently surpass sales quotas.
• Experience in selling technical software or advanced manufacturing technologies.
• Capable of engaging effectively with both engineers and senior executives.
• An entrepreneurial mindset with a history of working independently.
• Comfortable with building a territory from scratch.
• Experience in selling:
• - CAD/CAM software
• - Manufacturing software
• - Industrial AI
• - Digital Manufacturing
• - Process optimization software
• Experience in venture-backed or rapidly growing technology companies is highly desirable.
