This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Define and spearhead Rubix’s global strategy for land and energy origination in line with the expansion roadmap.
• Identify and prioritize crucial global markets based on factors such as power availability, latency, customer demand, regulatory frameworks, and scalability.
• Create a standardized, scalable model for site origination across various regions.
• Ensure all land and energy decisions enhance long-term operational performance and lifecycle efficiency.
• Take ownership of the global power strategy, encompassing utility engagement, interconnection, and long-term energy planning.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with utilities, transmission operators, and energy providers on a global scale.
• Lead negotiations for large-scale power capacity, grid access, tariffs, and infrastructure investments.
• Formulate strategies for renewable energy integration, power purchase agreements (PPAs), redundancy, and energy resilience.
• Align energy delivery with deployment timelines across all projects.
• Oversee the creation and management of a global pipeline of land opportunities in priority markets.
• Establish standards and frameworks for site selection, acquisition structures, and due diligence processes.
• Guide regional teams in executing complex land transactions, including purchases, leases, options, and joint ventures.
• Ensure a consistent, high-quality approach to site origination across all regions.
• Provide strategic direction for navigating diverse regulatory, zoning, and permitting environments globally.
• Equip regional teams to expedite entitlements and mitigate project risks.
• Shape market entry strategies based on regulatory complexity, incentives, and infrastructure readiness.
• Collaborate with public sector stakeholders and governmental entities as necessary.
• Own the land and energy components of global investment cases and capital allocation decisions.
• Offer strategic insights on land economics, grid connection costs, and market-level feasibility.
• Partner with Finance, Strategy, and Executive Leadership for long-term infrastructure planning.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global team across North America, EMEA, and APAC.
• Define roles, structure, and operational methodologies for regional land and energy teams.
• Drive alignment and collaboration among Engineering, Design & Build Operations (DBO), Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams.
• Establish clear performance metrics, accountability, and execution discipline.
• Serve as a senior representative of Rubix within global infrastructure, energy, and real estate ecosystems.
• Lead strategic negotiations and partnerships at the highest levels.
• Engage with investors, partners, and key stakeholders regarding infrastructure strategy.
• Contribute to the broader company strategy as a member of the senior leadership team.
• 15+ years of experience in infrastructure development, energy, real estate, or large-scale industrial projects.
• Proven leadership experience in building and scaling land and/or energy origination functions across multiple regions.
• Extensive experience in securing land and power for data centers, renewables, or large infrastructure platforms.
• Strong understanding of global energy markets, grid infrastructure, and interconnection processes.
• Experience in a vertically integrated or developer-operator model (EPC, infrastructure platforms).
• Strong commercial acumen with the capability to influence capital allocation and investment decisions.
• Demonstrated success in leading complex, multi-stakeholder negotiations.
• Ability to operate at both strategic and execution levels in a fast-growing, high-growth environment.
• A defining leadership role in the global scaling of next-generation AI infrastructure.
• Ownership of a critical function at the intersection of energy, real estate, and technology.
