This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Spearhead go-to-market initiatives for environmental remediation services across a variety of sectors.
• Formulate and implement regional growth strategies; generate business through established networks; enhance existing accounts; and cross-sell with related J.S. Held practices.
• Supervise the investigation, design, and implementation of soil and groundwater remediation and mitigation programs (e.g., vapour, PCBs, PFAS, petroleum, hazardous substances).
• Oversee environmental due diligence (Phase I/II ESAs), liability evaluations, cost-to-remediate analyses, and regulatory strategies (NJDEP programs, CERCLA, RCRA, Brownfields, LSRP coordination).
• Provide guidance to clients on environmental risk allocation, indemnities, reserves, and insurance interactions.
• Draft defensible reports and expert narratives for negotiations, and offer expert witness support in disputes or litigation matters, including testimony as necessary.
• Proven ability to manage intricate, multi-site remediation projects, ensuring alignment of scope, schedule, budget, and stakeholder interests.
• Recruit, mentor, and cultivate talent; implement best practices for delivery, safety, and client service. Enhance utilization, margin, pipeline health, and forecasting; contribute to pricing strategies and proposals.
• Extensive experience in environmental consulting and remediation, encompassing liability assessments, insurance interactions, advisory roles, and expert witness participation.
• Demonstrated history of originating and expanding business opportunities.
• Established client relationships with the ability to penetrate new markets.
• BS/MS in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in remediation design and implementation.
• Professional certifications such as NJ LSRP, PE, PG, or their equivalents are advantageous.
• Outstanding client-facing presence.
• Strong writing and presentation abilities, including the production of defensible reports, expert narratives, and litigation testimony.
• Experience in building and mentoring teams; managing P&L dynamics and scaling a practice is highly preferred.
