This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of strategic new business development in a designated region, targeting potential GPO members, health systems, hospitals, IDNs, and key healthcare clients.
• Formulate and implement regional market penetration strategies that align with enterprise sales and account management goals.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue high-value enterprise opportunities that contribute to revenue, bookings, GPO membership growth, and regional expansion.
• Lead intricate executive-level sales initiatives from prospecting to closure, encompassing discovery, solution positioning, proposals, negotiation, and contracting.
• Establish trusted relationships with C-suite and senior healthcare decision-makers.
• Act as the opportunity owner and primary lead for strategic pursuits, coordinating internal resources and accountability.
• Convert Premier’s enterprise value proposition into tailored business cases for customers.
• Collaborate with the Regional Vice President of Account Management on initiatives for regional growth, retention, expansion, and customer success.
• Oversee market intelligence, executive relationship mapping, growth priorities, and customer transition strategies.
• Facilitate smooth transitions from closed business to account management, implementation, and customer success.
• Build, manage, and enhance a regional pipeline of strategic opportunities.
• Develop pursuit strategies, competitive assessments, stakeholder maps, win themes, executive messaging, and deal plans.
• Structure proposals, ROI narratives, financial models, and executive presentations.
• Utilize sales methodology and deal management practices to enhance pipeline quality, speed, forecast accuracy, and close rates.
• Maintain documentation of pipeline, forecasts, opportunities, and activities in Salesforce.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, account management, advisory services, technology, finance, legal, implementation, marketing, and other stakeholders.
• Influence internal teams without direct authority while providing regional field intelligence, customer feedback, and competitive insights.
• Share best practices, pursuit insights, market trends, and competitive intelligence with colleagues and leadership.
• A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
• A Bachelor’s degree is required.
• At least 15 years of experience in enterprise sales, focusing on B2B sales within the healthcare sector.
• A minimum of 10 years of direct selling experience in the U.S. healthcare provider market.
• A proven and demonstrable track record in acquiring new logos, including securing new GPO contracts and closing large, complex enterprise deals.
• Consistent history of meeting and exceeding new business sales targets.
• Experience in selling complex enterprise solutions and services.
• Proficiency in CRM software, especially Salesforce.
• Executive presence with the ability to engage C-suite and senior healthcare leaders.
• Established C-suite relationships within the relevant market or territory.
• Advanced consultative and strategic selling abilities.
• Strong skills in regional market strategy, whitespace identification, negotiation, influence, and relationship-building.
• Understanding of account management, customer success, implementation, and long-term customer value drivers.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including expertise in ROI models, business cases, and executive presentations.
• In-depth knowledge of the healthcare provider market, including health systems, hospitals, IDNs, GPOs, procurement processes, and competitive dynamics.
• Ability to influence internal stakeholders without direct authority.
• Strong skills in pipeline management, forecasting, account planning, and CRM discipline.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
• Capability to operate independently, manage competing priorities, and advance multiple complex opportunities.
• Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
• Quick adaptability, meeting deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• Proficiency in operating computer programs and software.
• Effective communication skills in both in-person and electronic formats.
