This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more countries.
• Deliver strategic scientific and medical guidance for CNS and Psychiatry development programs from Phase I to late-stage clinical development.
• Provide counsel to senior client stakeholders regarding protocol design, development planning, patient selection, endpoints, and overall program strategy.
• Lead multidisciplinary Drug Development Services teams while promoting a high-performance culture.
• Create and implement comprehensive drug development solutions, which include clinical development strategies, feasibility assessments, regulatory planning, risk mitigation, and program optimization.
• Establish relationships with investigators, key opinion leaders, advisory boards, regulatory agencies, and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with Business Development teams on proposals, client presentations, bid defenses, and provide scientific leadership.
• Represent ICON as an industry thought leader at conferences, professional organizations, client forums, and external speaking engagements.
• MD with a focus in Neurology, Psychiatry, or a closely related CNS field.
• Over 10 years of progressive leadership experience in drug development.
• Extensive expertise in CNS and psychiatric therapeutic areas within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or CRO settings.
• Proven track record of successfully advancing assets through various stages of development.
• In-depth understanding of global regulatory requirements and experience in guiding development strategies across major regulatory agencies.
• Established ability to influence and gain credibility with executive leadership.
• Strong experience in leading multidisciplinary global teams, encompassing talent development, organizational leadership, budget accountability, and resource management.
• Commercially oriented strategic consultant with a successful history of supporting business growth, client engagements, and intricate drug development partnerships.
• Extensive professional network within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, academic, and regulatory sectors.
• Reside in the US, UK, or Ireland.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
