This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Proactively identify, target, and forge partnerships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, particularly for specialty, rare, orphan, and blockbuster therapies that have limited or exclusive distribution.
• Position the Company as a leading specialty pharmacy partner by clearly articulating the value that the Company contributes to the patient journey, including clinical capabilities, expertise in patient outcomes, and market reach.
• Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for securing new drug access agreements and expanding the Company’s specialty portfolio.
• Keep abreast of emerging therapeutics, pipeline developments, and competitive dynamics in the specialty and rare drug markets.
• Convert market intelligence into actionable strategies that guide business development priorities and executive decision-making.
• Represent the Company at industry conferences, advisory boards, and pharmaceutical meetings to enhance visibility and credibility.
• Build and maintain relationships with C-suite and senior-level pharmaceutical executives, consultants, and distribution partners.
• Communicate the Company’s unique capabilities in patient services, payer relations, enhanced data and services, and clinical outcomes to instill confidence in manufacturers.
• Facilitate impactful interactions between external partners and internal stakeholders (clinical, commercial, and operational teams).
• Lead and coordinate manufacturer Requests for Proposal (RFPs), including strategy formulation, response development, and content differentiation.
• Negotiate contract terms with pharmaceutical manufacturers to ensure advantageous access, margin growth, and potential for expansion.
• Collaborate with internal Pharma Relations and PMO teams to guarantee seamless implementation, launch, and execution of new drug programs.
• Partner with sales, clinical operations, payer relations, and marketing to ensure a smooth rollout of newly secured products.
• Audit assigned programs for profitability, performance, and compliance to ensure sustainability and ongoing improvement.
• Operate within approved budgets and growth targets, driving measurable outcomes that align with the Company’s strategic objectives.
• Cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in healthcare, with a proven history in pharmaceutical manufacturer relations, specialty pharmacy, or biotech/rare disease commercialization.
• Demonstrated success in securing limited or exclusive distribution agreements for specialty and rare drugs.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to transform market opportunities into actionable strategies.
• Proven expertise in managing executive-level relationships and negotiating contracts.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, adept at influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
• Proficient in market intelligence, strategic planning, and competitive positioning within specialty pharmacy.
• Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Ability to travel up to 50% to engage with manufacturers, payers, and key partners.
