This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
• Lead, coach, and inspire members of the regional Business Development (BD) team.
• Establish clear performance benchmarks, monitor progress, and offer support or guidance when necessary.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard new team members effectively.
• Cultivate a culture centered on innovation, accountability, and excellence in sales.
• Take ownership of the regional annual growth objectives.
• Ensure that BD Directors and Managers secure new business through focused prospecting, qualification, and closing tactics.
• Formulate and execute regional growth strategies and enterprise-client approaches.
• Identify and convey regional market trends to inform service line planning and product development.
• Prioritize BD initiatives within the region to achieve revenue, bookings, and overarching strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with Sales Operations, Solutions, and Delivery teams to craft competitive proposals and effective “win strategies.”
• Maintain executive-level relationships with clients.
• Lead contract negotiations and facilitate internal coordination to finalize all revenue-generating agreements.
• Engage in strategic account planning to uncover future growth opportunities with current clients.
• Develop and manage a robust pipeline of new business prospects.
• Provide accurate monthly bookings forecasts and steer team actions accordingly.
• Represent CLEAResult in high-stakes sales meetings.
• Extensive experience in the energy efficiency sector is essential.
• A minimum of 14 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree or 12 years with an MBA.
• Proven ability to:
• - Lead intricate business development projects
• - Utilize national market insights to inform client strategies
• - Influence enterprise-level strategic direction
• - Develop and enhance advanced BD concepts or methodologies
• - Act as an expert and trusted advisor within the organization and the industry.
• If relevant, fulfill all DOT qualification standards and comply with all pertinent federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
