Veterinary Pathologist – Production Animal Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• You analyze laboratory results across various diagnostic fields to deliver clear and cohesive insights.

• You may conduct post-mortem examinations on production animals.

• You perform histopathology and/or cytopathology on samples submitted from all species.

• You collaborate closely with production animal veterinarians, offering specialized guidance and support.

• You integrate findings from clinical pathology, serology, parasitology, and other data sources.

• You aid in creating a more comprehensive diagnostic approach within the large animal sector.

• You engage meaningfully and practically with the local veterinary and farming community.

⛳️ Requirements

• You possess qualifications in veterinary pathology or a related discipline, with significant experience in large animal pathology.

• You have experience in various diagnostic fields (e.g., anatomic/clinical pathology, parasitology, serology, microbiology, and molecular biology).

• You are adept at interpreting and correlating complex data sets to reach clear conclusions.

• You have practical experience in conducting post-mortems.

• You possess a strong working knowledge of New Zealand's pastoral farming systems.

• You are located in New Zealand and have an understanding of the local industry landscape.

• You hold working rights in NZ as a veterinarian.

• You are confident in engaging directly with veterinarians and fostering trusted relationships.

• You are adaptable and enjoy working across a diverse range of tasks.
