Veterinarian – Telemedicine, Daytime Shifts, Minijob

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide guidance to pet owners regarding their animals' health issues, emergencies, and inquiries through video chat and phone calls.

• Manage initial-contact inquiries independently.

• Evaluate the necessity for additional treatment.

• Effectively communicate treatment recommendations.

• Refer to veterinary hospitals, specialists, or primary-care veterinarians as required.

• Record consultations and the treatment suggestions offered.

• Fulfill scheduled daytime or nighttime shifts as part of a minijob arrangement.

• Assist the team by providing double coverage during peak demand periods.

• Enhance veterinary care with digital telemedicine through video and telephone consultations.

• Offer advice on straightforward cases, provide well-founded second opinions for complex situations, and administer first aid and referrals in emergencies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in veterinary medicine completed.

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience or 5 years of practical experience.

• Expertise, especially in small animal medicine.

• Capability to conduct consultations independently via video and telephone.

• Proficiency in managing medical inquiries confidently during initial contact.

• Ability to convey assessments and treatment recommendations clearly and professionally without direct contact with the animal.

• Exceptional communication skills, empathy, strong interpersonal abilities, and a self-assured demeanor.

• Proficient IT skills are a plus.

• Initial experience with telephone or telemedicine consultations is preferred but not mandatory.

• Consistent and dependable willingness to cover one or more of the available shifts.

• Readiness to actively participate in shift scheduling on a regular basis.
