This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establishing, nurturing, and managing strategic partnerships with the vendor.
• Act as a subject matter expert for all vendor offerings, services, and procedures through training and certifications.
• Meet key performance metrics that align with vendor goals for sales expansion and reseller recruitment.
• Emphasize existing reseller support through training initiatives to enhance product understanding and diversify the solution portfolio.
• Create and uphold a comprehensive understanding of vendor procedures, including partner pricing strategies, deal registrations, upselling and cross-selling tactics, and best practices related to all quote-to-order activities.
• Collaborate with the Vendor field sales teams to synchronize business development efforts, comprehend their distributor needs, and ensure synergy with Climb's field sales team.
• Regularly engage with Climb's top Reseller sales divisions to educate and advocate for vendor initiatives, offer sales assistance, and help close deals, as well as serve as a liaison with other vendor departments on behalf of our resellers.
• Ensure that vendor renewal opportunities are quoted 90 days prior and maintain a high renewal rate and reseller retention.
• Prepare pipeline reports, generate management forecasts, and oversee the end-of-month opportunity watchlist.
• Collaborate closely with Climb's Vendor Partner Managers & Marketing team to design and implement both Reseller & MSP lead generation marketing campaigns, taking the lead on all follow-ups.
• Organize and conduct regular training, enablement, and certification sessions for both the Climb field and inside sales teams.
• Identify and champion the execution of initiatives that simplify business processes to enhance reseller satisfaction and improve operational efficiency.
• Participate in and/or deliver presentations at significant Vendor, Reseller, and industry events, seminars, and workshops.
• Serve as the primary contact for all escalations and implement necessary corrective actions.
• Monitor market trends and shifts within the technology sector, particularly in the vendor's area of expertise; explore opportunities to leverage emerging trends and high-growth segments.
• Demonstrated success in driving new business growth and VAR recruitment.
• A "Need to Win" mindset with the determination to see sales initiatives through to a successful conclusion.
• A relationship-focused team player adept at securing commitment across various functional areas and management levels, both internally and externally.
• Relevant qualifications in marketing, sales, and/or technical fields, including experience within the technology distribution channel.
• Proven expertise in core competencies relevant to the role, such as strategic planning/execution, leadership, relationship management, influence, presentation, negotiation, problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making.
• Outstanding organizational, time management, prioritization, and execution abilities.
• Excellent communicator with strong verbal and written skills, alongside effective presentation capabilities.
• Previous experience in technology distribution channels is advantageous.
• Highly knowledgeable and comfortable in the data storage sector.
• Motivated to engage with partners via phone communication.
