This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Act as the primary business owner for third-party vendor solutions that support Claims and Shared Services, ensuring they align with both operational and strategic goals.
• Assess operational requirements and convert them into vendor strategies, solution roadmaps, and initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Assist in the intake, evaluation, and recommendation of new vendor solutions, which includes participating in vendor sourcing activities (RFI/RFP, due diligence, and selection) in collaboration with Procurement and adhering to enterprise governance, risk, and compliance standards.
• Oversee vendor relationships and serve as the main point of contact between vendors and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication, issue resolution, and excellence in service delivery.
• Develop, monitor, and report on vendor performance metrics, SLAs, and KPIs such as cycle time, severity, leakage, customer experience, and operational throughput throughout the claims lifecycle.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of vendor performance, financial data, and operational trends to pinpoint risks, cost-saving opportunities, and areas for enhancement, creating actionable strategies to address identified gaps.
• Facilitate and coordinate vendor due diligence, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring activities in partnership with internal stakeholders and risk experts.
• Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with business partners and vendors to support vendor oversight, strategic initiatives, and operational requirements.
• Aid in contract lifecycle activities, which include tracking contract expirations, renewal schedules, amendments, and assisting with contract terminations when necessary.
• Support billing validation, audits, and compliance activities to ensure accuracy, adherence to contractual terms, and alignment with company policies.
• Keep accurate and comprehensive vendor data in systems of record, encompassing contracts, risk profiles, performance metrics, and services rendered, ensuring a holistic view of the vendor landscape.
• Provide data analysis, reporting, and executive-level insights to facilitate decision-making, vendor performance management, and strategic planning.
• Promote the use of vendor management tools and processes, offering guidance and support to internal stakeholders and vendors as required.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to enhance and mature vendor management practices, focusing on improvements in governance frameworks and operational efficiency.
• Manage and support special projects and cross-functional initiatives, utilizing experience and judgment to achieve desired results.
• Work alongside Claims leadership, adjusters, and Shared Services teams to align vendor solutions with real-world claims handling processes, including FNOL intake, appraisal, subrogation, SIU, and total loss workflows.
• Strong grasp of effective relationship-building principles to establish and maintain productive vendor and stakeholder partnerships.
• Knowledge of influence and change-management strategies for driving alignment and achieving outcomes without direct authority across teams.
• Proficient in professional standards and best practices for representing the organization in vendor discussions, negotiations, and issue escalations.
• Familiarity with operational and financial data concepts, metrics, and analytical techniques used for evaluating vendor performance and identifying trends.
• Understanding of performance measurement frameworks and their relation to cost control, service quality, cycle time, and customer experience.
• Familiarity with cross-functional vendor management processes, such as RFPs, vendor onboarding, pilots, and contract renewals.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies, including scope definition, timeline management, dependency tracking, and risk mitigation.
• Knowledge of effective written and verbal communication techniques, with an emphasis on tailoring messaging for frontline partners, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
• Strong understanding of executive-level documentation standards, including recommendations, performance summaries, scope documents, and workflow documentation.
• Knowledge of strategic planning concepts and how vendor decisions align with long-term operational goals and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships to foster productive vendor and stakeholder partnerships.
• Capability to influence and manage change to facilitate alignment and outcomes without direct authority across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to represent the organization in a professional manner during vendor discussions, negotiations, and issue escalations.
• Skills in operational and financial data analysis to evaluate vendor performance and identify trends.

• Strong executive-level documentation skills, including recommendations, performance summaries, scope documents, and workflow documentation.
• Proven strategic planning and decision-support skills that align vendor decisions with long-term operational goals and continuous improvement.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required; a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of vendor management, accounting, or finance, or 5+ years of experience in the field or a similar area preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Vendor Management Department, Purchasing Department, or a functionally related area required.
• At least 2 years of experience in auto claims, property claims, or related claims operations (e.g., liability, BI, subrogation, SIU, or total loss) preferred.
• Experience with claims platforms (e.g., Guidewire ClaimCenter) and vendor-integrated workflows is strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in a corporate environment, specifically including responsibilities for cross-functional collaboration.
• At least 2 years of professional business analytics experience preferred.
