This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Provide guidance and coaching to Vendor Relationship Managers during the RFP processes regarding evaluation frameworks, scoring methods, and documentation standards.
• Develop and conduct comprehensive Vendor Lifecycle Training for VRMs, business unit leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ensure timely completion of vendor scorecards and manage performance review schedules.
• Report scorecard non-compliance to senior leadership and ensure that outcomes inform vendor management strategies.
• Spearhead vendor accountability initiatives, which include performance enhancement plans, monitoring contract adherence, and managing escalations.
• Counsel business unit leaders on their vendor oversight duties and governance structures.
• Oversee compliance with vendor governance policies, controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Detect deviations, offer coaching and remediation advice, and escalate systemic non-compliance issues.
• Generate governance reports and trend analyses for senior leadership using scorecard data, assessment results, and performance metrics.
• Work collaboratively with Compliance, Legal, Procurement, and Risk teams to implement controls within the vendor management lifecycle.
• Identify process deficiencies, suggest enhancements, and foster behavioral changes through training, accountability frameworks, and visibility to executives.
• Travel alongside VRMs for vendor onsite evaluations, up to 10% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in vendor management, business controls, or third-party governance within a financial services environment.
• Proven experience in a controls, compliance, or governance-centric position.
• Established history of holding business stakeholders accountable to governance benchmarks, scorecards, or performance frameworks.
• Experience in facilitating training, workshops, or enablement sessions for business unit audiences.
• Strong knowledge of vendor management lifecycle concepts.
• Familiarity with OCC, FFIEC, and CFPB regulatory guidelines concerning third-party governance responsibilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation abilities.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% for vendor onsite evaluations.
• Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in Business, Organizational Leadership, or Risk Management.
• Preferred: Professional certifications such as CTPS, CRVPM, or equivalent vendor governance credentials.
• Preferred: Experience with vendor performance management systems such as Zip, ProcessUnity, or Archer.
• Preferred: Six Sigma, Lean, or change management certifications like Prosci.
• Preferred: Previous experience in business controls, internal audit, or compliance consulting within financial services.
• Preferred: Experience in designing and delivering adult learning or corporate training programs.
