VDI Tester

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Conduct testing of desktop applications within Windows environments.

• Have a solid understanding of various operating systems, including LINUX and MacOS.

• Collaborate with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Citrix.

• Execute tests on applications in VDI and remote access contexts.

• Carry out functional, regression, and UI testing procedures.

• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, encompassing plans, cases, and reports.

• Diagnose and analyze problems within virtualized environments.

• Adhere to the software development life cycle and follow QA best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possess strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and experience in testing desktop applications across various Windows environments.

• Familiarity with other operating systems, such as LINUX and MacOS.

• Experience with virtualization platforms, including VMware or Citrix.

• Background in testing applications within virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) and remote access scenarios.

• Skilled in functional, regression, and UI testing methodologies.

• Understanding of database systems (e.g., SQL Server, Sybase).

• Proficient in using test management and bug tracking tools, like JIRA and ALM.

• Capable of writing and maintaining clear and detailed test documentation, which includes test plans, cases, and reports.

• Possess strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities to pinpoint and resolve issues in virtualized environments.

• Knowledgeable about the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA best practices in agile or hybrid settings.
