QA Engineering Team Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Create, implement, and manage detailed test plans and test cases for functional, non-functional, regression, performance, and accessibility testing.

• Spearhead test automation efforts by developing, maintaining, and improving automated test scripts utilizing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.

• Work collaboratively with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to comprehend requirements and establish effective testing strategies.

• Evaluate test cases, automation scripts, and test outcomes to ensure comprehensive coverage, precision, and alignment with business needs.

• Identify, document, monitor, and communicate software defects using bug-tracking tools to ensure prompt resolution.

• Assess testing metrics and outcomes to offer insights and recommendations aimed at enhancing QA processes and product quality.

• Engage actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.

• Guide and support QA team members by offering coaching, technical advice, and best-practice standards.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QA department and across engineering teams.

• Collaborate with leadership to align quality objectives with business goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong emphasis on functional and automated testing.

• 1-2 years of experience in a formal leadership role or a combination of 1-2 years in a management position alongside prior experience as a Technical Lead.

• Practical experience with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Cypress, or Appium.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Demonstrated capability to analyze complex systems and tackle testing challenges.
