VCE Curriculum Content Builder – Unit 3 & 4 Legal Studies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Design and execute a variety of teaching programs or academic courses;

• Proficient in utilizing ICT learning platforms, especially Canvas;

• Possess the knowledge of content and teaching methods to engage students in online education;

• Show dedication to enhancing professional skills through coaching and development opportunities;

• Ensure a child-safe environment in line with child-safe standards;

• Participate in child safety and wellbeing training and induction provided by the institution, adhering to the school's child safety and wellbeing policies and procedures;

• Act in accordance with our Child Safety Code of Conduct;

• Identify and escalate concerns regarding child safety in compliance with our Child Safety Responding and Reporting Obligations Policy and Procedures, including following the Four Critical Actions for Schools;

• Make sure that students' perspectives are valued and their voices are heard regarding decisions that impact their lives;

• Exemplify and advocate for the school's vision and values;

• Teach a specific area of the curriculum to senior year levels and create online VCE courses for implementation;

• Keep accurate records of class attendance and track student progress;

• Apply effective student management strategies aligned with the school’s strategic plan;

• Attend and engage in staff meetings as required;

• Actively participate in regular staff devotions and prayer.

• Proof of the right to work in Australia;

• Valid identification;

• Recognized teaching qualification;

• Clearance status of the Working with Children Check (if applicable);

• Registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT);

• Statements of service from prior child-connected roles;

• References from previous child-connected positions;

• Be a dedicated Christian, willing to share your faith;

• Commit to enhancing student academic performance;

• Maintain high expectations for student capabilities, both academically and behaviorally;

• Build positive relationships with staff, students, and parents;

• Exhibit a servant's heart;

• Demonstrate excellent organizational abilities;

• Possess strong knowledge of VCE curriculum, assessment, and VCAA requirements in your subject area;

• Be adept at learning and utilizing digital learning platforms, particularly Canvas and Google Suite.
