This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +30 more states.
• Assume responsibility for comprehensive research studies, encompassing scoping, participant recruitment, methodology selection, facilitation, and analysis throughout the entire product lifecycle.
• Develop research questions that tackle product uncertainties and align with business objectives in collaboration with product, design, engineering, and growth teams.
• Assist in roadmap planning by identifying user needs, pain points, and opportunity areas based on data insights.
• Execute mixed-methods research (such as interviews, usability tests, surveys, field studies, A/B testing, etc.) and distill findings into clear, actionable insights.
• Aid product teams with rapid evaluative testing, continuous discovery practices, and lessons learned post-launch.
• Collaborate with data analysts and designers to triangulate findings, ensuring insights accurately reflect user behaviors, attitudes, and contexts.
• Convert insights into frameworks, personas, journey maps, or recommendations that facilitate product decisions and prioritize roadmaps.
• Communicate findings effectively and persuasively to cross-functional teams, promoting a shared understanding of user needs.
• Work in close partnership with design, product, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure user insights are woven into design and business processes.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in UX research or a related discipline (e.g., design research, HCI, behavioral science, product design) with escalating responsibility and autonomy.
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Design, or a related field. Advanced degrees are advantageous, along with ongoing learning through research training, behavioral science certifications, or academic coursework.
• Demonstrated experience in planning and implementing end-to-end studies across both generative and evaluative research methodologies.
• Established ability to influence decisions through clear insights, effective storytelling, and alignment with data.
• Experience in stakeholder collaboration and influence.
• Proficiency in journey mapping, persona development, and creating insight frameworks.
• Eligibility to obtain or maintain US Government Security Clearance; preference will be given to candidates with active TS Clearance.
• At least 3 years of experience in UX research or a related field (e.g., design research, HCI, behavioral science, product design) with increasing scope and autonomy.
• Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Design, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus, as well as continued learning through research training, behavioral science certifications, or academic coursework.
