Utilization Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Evaluates the accuracy of patient class assignment (status)

• Aids in the medical chart auditing process

• Assists in managing denial cases by documenting actions related to denial resolutions

• Confirms authorization for all admitted patients

• Oversees concurrent cases until resolution

• Performs initial assessments and ongoing stay evaluations

• Works collaboratively with healthcare team members

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is mandatory

• At least three years of recent acute clinical experience or relevant healthcare background

• Must obtain Case Management Certification (ACM, CCM, or ANCC) within two years of hiring

• Current or compact Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of North Carolina is required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is necessary
