Utility Construction Inspector

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.

📋 Description

• Conducting inspections and monitoring of utility construction projects related to natural gas, electricity, telecommunications, and municipal infrastructure.

• Ensuring that all construction activities adhere to safety regulations, approved plans, specifications, and relevant federal, state, local, and company standards.

• Acting as a third-party representative on behalf of the utility or facility owner.

• Safeguarding public safety, infrastructure integrity, and overall project quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• Previous experience or knowledge in natural gas, electric, telecommunications, or municipal utility construction is advantageous, but not mandatory.

• Strong grasp of utility safety protocols, excavation standards, and damage prevention regulations.

• Capability to read and comprehend construction plans, specifications, and utility maps.

• Ability to work autonomously in the field and manage multiple locations on a daily basis.

• Familiarity with mobile technology and electronic reporting systems such as ArcGIS -Survey123 and/or Field Maps is advantageous, but not essential.

• Experience with GPS tools like Trimble and/or Topcon is preferred, but not a requirement.
