This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Assist in managing utility billing services within our software platform.
• Process client billing information, verify account details, and address billing discrepancies.
• Ensure the precise and timely invoicing of utility services, including water, wastewater, recycling, waste, or municipal services.
• Handle and maintain utility billing usage data within the company's software system.
• Examine billing information for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to client specifications.
• Import usage data, compute, validate, and post utility invoices using the EGT application.
• Collaborate with Customer Support and Development teams to resolve billing-related system issues.
• Assist with month-end and year-end billing processes and reporting.
• Oversee billing workflows and pinpoint opportunities for process enhancement and automation.
• Ensure adherence to relevant utility regulations, company policies, and data security standards.
• An associate or bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in utility billing, accounts receivable, customer billing, or related operational support.
• Proficient in using billing software, ERP systems, or SaaS platforms.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and data entry accuracy.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, time management, and critical thinking.
• Familiarity with Customer Information Systems (CIS) or utility management platforms.
• Adaptability in a technology-driven environment.
• Knowledge of utility rate structures, meter data, and billing cycles.
