Urgent Care Physician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Provide care to patients of all ages with a diverse array of medical conditions.

• Keep patient records accurate and up-to-date.

• Collaborate effectively with both provider and support teams.

• Conduct age-appropriate histories and virtual examinations, evaluate, diagnose, recommend treatment plans, and document findings in a timely and appropriate manner.

• Deliver exceptional patient care while prioritizing safety.

• Record medical information for patients and review their medical history during each visit.

• Seek consultation or referral from other healthcare providers when necessary.

• Educate and counsel patients.

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests as required.

• Assess, triage, and manage both pediatric and adult patients needing acute care.

• Provide administrative support or cross-coverage for reviewing laboratory test results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of a 3-year residency in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.

• Over 3 years of post-residency experience in a fast-paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient environment.

• Active ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

• Completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.

• Possession of an active and unrestricted state medical license in at least one state; residing in an IMLC state is necessary.

• Experience and comfort in providing care across all age groups, from newborns to adults.

• Ability to operate effectively within an integrated medical practice.

• A wide-ranging clinical expertise.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Proven proficiency with technology.

• Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and not identified as an “excluded person” by the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services or the General Services Administration (GSA), nor reprimanded or sanctioned by Medicare.

• Must maintain active status with Medicare.
