This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa.
• Conduct age-appropriate medical histories and virtual examinations, assess, diagnose, propose treatment plans, and accurately document findings in a timely manner.
• Provide exceptional patient care while ensuring safety measures are upheld.
• Record patient medical information and review their medical history during each appointment.
• Seek consultations or referrals from other healthcare professionals when necessary.
• Educate and counsel patients effectively.
• Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests.
• Evaluate, triage, and manage both pediatric and adult patients in acute care settings, with experience in chronic disease management and mental health issues.
• Continuously update knowledge of current medical research and trends.
• Offer administrative assistance or cross-coverage for analyzing laboratory test results.
• Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings and weekends.
• Successfully completed a 3-year residency in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
• Over 3 years of post-residency experience in a high-paced Urgent Care or Primary Care outpatient environment.
• Valid ABMS or AOA Board Certification in Family Medicine or dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.
• Completion of the U.S. Medical Licensing Examination.
• Must be eligible for the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLCC).
• Possession of an active and unrestricted medical license in at least one state, with residency in an IMLC state.
• Comfortable providing care across all age groups, from newborns to adults.
• Capability to operate within an integrated medical practice.
• Broad clinical expertise is essential.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated proficiency in technology use.
• Not currently excluded or sanctioned by any state or federal healthcare program, including Medicare or Medicaid, and not identified as an “excluded person” by the Office of Inspector General of the Department of Health and Human Services or the General Services Administration (GSA), nor reprimanded or sanctioned by Medicare.
• Must maintain an active status with Medicare.
