Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Conduct virtual examinations and gather age-appropriate medical history.

• Assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for a wide array of conditions throughout various age groups.

• Order and analyze diagnostic tests as required.

• Create and record treatment plans accurately and promptly.

• Manage both acute and chronic conditions, including mental health issues, for patients of all ages.

• Seek consultation or referrals from other healthcare professionals when necessary.

• Educate and counsel patients and their families regarding treatment plans.

• Stay updated with the latest clinical best practices and evidence-based care.

• Provide coverage for tasks such as reviewing laboratory results.

• Offer flexible scheduling options, including evenings and weekends.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completion of an accredited Master’s or Doctoral-level Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) program, following graduation from an accredited nursing institution.

• Active Nurse Practitioner (NP) license along with maintained Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, compliant with state regulations.

• Current national certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC.

• Valid active RN compact license.

• Active multi-state licensure **(preferably 5 or more licenses)**.

• A minimum of 3+ years of post-training experience in high-traffic Urgent Care or Primary Care environments.

• Experience in providing care from newborns to adult populations.

• Capability to operate within an integrated medical practice.

• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to manage a diverse range of conditions.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and patient engagement abilities.

• Proficient in technology use and electronic medical record systems.

• Maintain active Medicare status - Must be in good standing with Medicare/Medicaid and not excluded from participation in federal healthcare programs.
