This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Spearhead the underwriting strategy and decision-making processes for intricate risks.
β’ Supervise and manage underwriting operations to ensure compliance with carrier guidelines, company policies, and regulatory standards.
β’ Track portfolio performance and modify underwriting practices to meet profitability, growth, and risk management goals.
β’ Provide leadership, guidance, and oversight to underwriting teams.
β’ Act as a point of escalation for complex underwriting challenges.
β’ Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with brokers, agents, and market partners.
β’ Coach, mentor, and enhance the skills of underwriting staff.
β’ Assess market trends, competitor activities, and data insights to guide pricing, product development, and underwriting strategies.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field is preferred.
β’ Significant experience in underwriting, including commercial or specialty lines.
β’ Proven leadership experience in managing underwriting teams and achieving performance targets.
β’ Demonstrated success in reaching profitability and growth objectives through effective underwriting strategies and portfolio management.
β’ Relevant certifications such as CPCU or equivalent professional designations are preferred.
β’ Necessary state-specific insurance licenses required according to role responsibilities.
