Senior Analyst, Pharmacy Benefits Management – Underwriting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Develop and model Truecost pricing proposals for Health Plan Clients.

• Work closely with PBM Sales and Account Services to devise pricing and negotiation strategies.

• Analyze extensive pharmacy claims data and create forward-looking financial forecasts and profit and loss statements utilizing advanced Excel modeling techniques.

• Deliver financial analyses to Executive Leadership during Executive Underwriting Approval Calls.

• Provide real-time responses to financial inquiries.

• Assist Underwriting Managers and Senior Managers with ad-hoc financial analyses and client implementation projects.

• Communicate client pricing effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.

• Implement and execute adaptive pricing strategies in response to market changes.

• Offer competitive, profitable, and appealing pricing proposals.

• Contribute to minimizing service warranties and performance guarantee payouts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years’ experience in financial analysis, pricing, or corporate underwriting.

• Expertise in Microsoft Excel for complex data analysis.

• Fundamental understanding of PBM finance.

• Experience in managing complex projects lasting between 3 to 12 months in a matrix environment.

• Proficient in advanced Excel modeling.

• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and follow-up abilities.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, with a track record of presenting to diverse business groups.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent work experience may also be considered.

• A Master’s Degree is preferred.
