Underwriting Support Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Participate actively in all team meetings.

• Conduct monthly Quality Control audits for each staff member.

• Oversee the loss mitigation pipeline and pinpoint any gaps in our review process.

• Examine the foreclosure sale date report to ensure all files with foreclosure sale dates are properly addressed.

• Guarantee that daily reports are generated and accessible to management.

• Respond to inbound phone calls, return voicemails, handle escalations, and fulfill all other requests within 24 hours of receipt.

• Manage all written and verbal communications professionally with homeowners, clients, investors, insurers, subordinate lien holders, real estate agents, consumer credit counseling services, and foreclosure attorneys.

• Support new hire training, including auditing all files during the initial training period.

• Capable of training and underwriting according to all investor guidelines.

• Adapt to changes productively and manage other essential tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in Collections, Loss Mitigation, or related fields in mortgage banking, mortgage servicing, or real estate.

• Expertise in all Loss Mitigation workout types along with all agency (FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC) guidelines.

• Proficient in MS Office Suite: Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Experience with LPS/MSP systems.

• Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment while also being a collaborative team member focused on results.

• Strong multi-tasking capabilities.

• Skillful in structuring workouts that prioritize the best interests of the homeowner, investor, insurer, and client.
