This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
• Provides support for underwriting and authorization pertaining to the issuance of commitments and policies for real estate title insurance.
• Applies underwriting standards and guidelines within the limits of delegated authority.
• Issues underwriting standards and guidelines in accordance with established company procedures.
• Reviews title orders to assess the conditions of the title and its insurability.
• Investigates title plant software and evaluates relevant record documents.
• Clarifies chain of title, exceptions, and requirements to clients and management.
• Identifies title defects and devises curative solutions.
• Evaluates risks and liabilities that could threaten the company.
• Ensures daily production levels and delivery standards are maintained.
• Reviews surveys related to properties, if relevant.
• Collaborates with clients and escrow personnel to meet scheduling demands.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in title underwriting.
• Must possess familiarity with real estate law.
• Strong grasp of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures associated with real estate title and settlement processes.
• General knowledge of Federal and State regulations governing real estate title insurance and settlement services.
• Basic understanding of underwriting real estate transactions for the issuance of title insurance policies.
• Capability to collaborate effectively and make decisive actions.
