This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Collaborate with Underwriters to determine the support requirements for renewals and/or new business policies.
• Identify and collect pertinent account information to quote and/or bind policies.
• Develop exhibits and prepare documentation for pre-renewal meetings.
• Create underwriting and pricing exhibits, which include exposures, experience rating, profit and loss analysis, expense models, triage, and updated account information.
• Oversee account documentation, such as proposals, agreement letters, reinsurance contracts, collateral agreements, policy modifications, endorsements, and cancellations.
• Ensure precise and timely servicing and billing of accounts.
• Maintain communication with brokers/agencies, wholesalers, and internal departments.
• Research and resolve issues, responding to inquiries and questions.
• Coordinate with the Operations Specialist to refresh internal systems and complete rating processes.
• Prepare quotes by evaluating exposures and experience rating, updating account information and rates, and making price adjustments as needed.
• Complete renewals in accordance with formal guidelines or Letters of Authority.
• Provide information for regulatory compliance, including statutory filings, proof of insurance, and certificates.
• Engage in projects and assignments as needed.
• Cultivate relationships with agents, wholesalers, peers, and business partners.
• Address conflicting priorities in cooperation with the team leader.
• Availability for agency visits may be required.
• A high school diploma along with 3+ years of relevant experience is required.
• Preferred: Three or more years of insurance experience related to rate, quote, and issuance of P&C Insurance.
• A Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong knowledge of property insurance is a plus.
• Ability to independently assign class codes.
• Capable of managing bureau criticisms.
• Demonstrates prompt assessment and appropriate action in various situations.
• Must meet standards set by the manager and maintain high personal standards.
• Able to navigate complex organizational structures effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both in person and virtually.
• Comfortable adapting to change.
