Underwriting Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Assist underwriters in the collection, evaluation, and verification of documentation for risk assessment and policy processing.

• Create and uphold precise underwriting files, logs, and records within the systems of record.

• Gather and assess data to aid underwriting decisions and meet internal reporting obligations.

• Oversee workflow to guarantee the timely completion of underwriting tasks and adherence to procedures.

• Address internal and external inquiries regarding underwriting documentation and provide status updates.

• Facilitate communication among underwriters, brokers, and other internal departments.

• Assist with quality control measures to ensure data precision and compliance with both company and regulatory standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.

• 1–3 years of experience in underwriting support, insurance operations, or administrative support in a relevant field.

• Knowledge of insurance principles, underwriting processes, or risk assessment concepts is preferred.

• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.

• Strong organizational abilities with a focus on detail and accuracy.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Basic analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

• Fluency in English is required.

• No specific certifications, licenses, or registrations are necessary.
