Ukrainian/English OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during a call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry you will be interpreting for (specifically healthcare and medical) – training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions are made.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and provide reports to your team leader.

• Follow dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language 'Ukrainian'.

• Over 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, but not essential.

• Good understanding of medical terminology is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications within the healthcare sector are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to tolerate diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
