Ukrainian to English OPI/VRI Interpretation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary used in the industry relevant to the interpreter's field (particularly healthcare and medical) - training will be provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and comprehensive interpretation of messages.

• Adhere to established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show a willingness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code policies for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Ukrainian".

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company is advantageous but not essential.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, though not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.) are advantageous.

• A high school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and an appreciation for cultural diversity.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
