Ukrainian OPI/VRI Remote Interpreters

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Serbia.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls professionally, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary pertinent to the healthcare and medical fields.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, ensuring no additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretations.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and complete interpretations.

• Implement standards of practice consistently.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show eagerness to obtain new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report effectively to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English as the source language and a native speaker of Ukrainian as the target language.

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-phone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company.

• Solid understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is advantageous.

• International certifications related to the healthcare industry are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Strong emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
