Ukrainian OPI/VRI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Maintain readiness to take notes throughout each call.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical fields, with training provided.

• Accurately convey all messages without adding, omitting, or altering any content.

• Deliver exceptional customer service during interpretation sessions.

• Aid communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Uphold standards of practice in all interpretation tasks.

• Participate in internal professional training programs.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate effectively and report to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Ukrainian."

• A minimum of 1 year of experience in telephone interpretation at a reputable interpretation company is advantageous, though not mandatory.

• Good understanding of medical terminology is beneficial, but not essential.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are advantageous (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language is required.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Strong communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills are essential.
