Ukrainian <> English Medical Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary pertinent to the industry in which you are interpreting, particularly healthcare and medical terminology.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages, avoiding any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest quality of customer service throughout the interpretation process.

• Enable effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Implement established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide reports to your team leader.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Ukrainian".

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is considered an advantage.

• Possession of international certifications in the healthcare field is a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and an appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Exceptional communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
