UK Practice Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Preparing and reviewing year-end financial statements for UK limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships.

• Preparing and evaluating corporation tax computations and CT600 returns.

• Preparing and assessing UK personal tax returns.

• Reviewing VAT returns and VAT control accounts.

• Communicating with clients to gather information, address queries, and provide updates.

• Supporting and reviewing the work of junior team members as necessary.

• Collaborating closely with the broader team to ensure deadlines are met and client expectations are fulfilled.

• Identifying technical issues and escalating them when appropriate.

⛳️ Requirements

• Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CA(SA), CIMA or equivalent).

• Significant experience in a UK accountancy practice is essential.

• Demonstrated expertise in preparing statutory accounts, corporation tax returns, personal tax returns, and VAT returns.

• Strong understanding of UK GAAP and UK tax legislation.

• Capability to manage workload autonomously and meet deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• High attention to detail and sound professional judgment.
