This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• We are seeking a skilled UI/UX Designer to enhance the way engineers engage with intricate simulation and analysis tools via our automation platform, encompassing visual programming interfaces and AI-driven workflow creation.
• In collaboration with your Product Manager and Tech Lead within our most technically-focused product team, you'll play a vital role in defining the integration of engineering tools into our platform.
• Your responsibilities will include transforming tool-specific details into abstract, interchangeable nodes, advancing our 3D viewer to accommodate expanding engineering fields, and crafting AI-enhanced experiences that enable engineers to create valuable automations in days rather than months.
• You will conduct discovery sessions, map complex and highly technical user journeys, and guide the design process from concept to high-fidelity prototype.
• Your role will involve bringing clarity to technical uncertainties, working closely with developers, and ensuring that our rapid releases are not only functional but also genuinely intuitive for engineering users.
• You will engage in design critiques with fellow designers and help elevate the design standards across the company.
• You align with Synera's Core Values, which are fundamental to our operations, and we will discuss these values in your initial interview.
• You possess over 4 years of practical UI/UX design experience in products related to mechanical engineering.
• You have a solid understanding of engineering processes, particularly simulations such as FEA or CFD.
• You are experienced with 3D interfaces or visualization tools.
• You have a proven history of end-to-end design ownership, from discovery research to product launch.
• Your visual design skills are robust: you have a keen eye for layout, typography, and color, and can showcase refined UI work in your portfolio.
• Your proficiency in Figma is advanced, allowing you to push the tool's capabilities beyond just the basics.
• You have experience collaborating in product trios or working closely with PMs and engineers in agile/iterative settings.
• You are adept at navigating ambiguity: you have experience in early-stage products, pivots, or dynamic teams where you needed to chart the course ahead.
• Your excellent English communication skills enable you to thrive in an international environment.
• You play an active role in shaping the aesthetics of our products as a member of a multidisciplinary product team.
• You witness the results of your contributions in every 4-month release cycle.
• You assess your designs with users from prestigious clients such as BMW, NASA, or Miele.
• Enjoy genuine flexibility: work whenever and wherever suits you, and swap public holidays to align with your values and beliefs (provided you have residency in Germany).
• Receive support for your home-office setup along with access to our Bremen office.
• Utilize your personal development budget of €2,000 for attending conferences, training sessions, or purchasing insightful books to enhance your skills in your chosen area.
• We do not track your vacation days, trusting all team members to make the best decisions for themselves and the company.
• Prefer cycling to driving? 🚲 We offer JobRad to accommodate your preference.
• To support your overall well-being, we provide company fitness options through Wellpass and access to the mental health platform nilo.
• Participate in regional meet-ups, weekly virtual coffee breaks, and workshops.
• Additionally, we gather as an entire company for our annual Summer Event!
