This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Convert intricate business workflows, data, and requirements into straightforward, efficient, and user-friendly experiences.
• Develop accessible Power Pages portals utilizing responsive layouts, reusable components, forms, lists, role-based access, and Dataverse integration.
• Generate wireframes, prototypes, mockups, user flows, and design specifications for Power Apps and the Power Platform.
• Work alongside Power Apps developers to ensure designs are technically viable and effectively executed.
• Create reusable design patterns, components, navigation frameworks, and visual standards for Power Apps.
• Design and implement accessible, engaging, and high-performance interfaces for Power Platform, SharePoint, and other internal and external portals.
• Collaborate with business and technical teams to comprehend user needs, gather requirements, and establish design goals.
• Ensure consistent branding and user experience across Power Apps, SharePoint, Microsoft 365, and related enterprise platforms.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and design evaluations.
• Implement accessibility standards and principles of inclusive design.
• Keep up to date with Microsoft Power Platform capabilities, Power Apps design practices, UI/UX trends, and emerging technologies.
• Partner with developers, solution architects, project managers, business analysts, and content strategists.
• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Over 5 years of experience designing enterprise applications, digital portals, web-based dashboards, or similar user interfaces.
• Proven UI/UX design experience with Microsoft Power Apps, including Canvas Apps and/or Model-Driven Apps, along with an understanding of their design distinctions.
• Capability to design user-centered experiences utilizing Figma, Adobe XD, or similar contemporary tools.
• Experience in creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and UI specifications.
• Strong grasp of responsive design, accessibility standards, information architecture, and enterprise application design.
• Familiarity with designing for SharePoint and Microsoft 365.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to balance user experience, technical feasibility, and business requirements.
• Robust portfolio showcasing Power Apps UI/UX work, enterprise application design, and/or portal design.
• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal contracting and potential security requirements.
• Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React is advantageous.
• Experience with Dataverse, SharePoint, or other enterprise data sources is a plus.
• Background in conducting usability testing for workflow-driven business applications is beneficial.
• Understanding of Power Platform governance, environment considerations, and application lifecycle concepts is advantageous.
• 1099 independent contractor opportunity.
• Part-time engagement, approximately 30+ hours per week.
