This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
β’ You deliver visual quality on screen, tailored to platforms, developer-friendly, and consistent.
β’ UI design for iOS and Android: platform-specific, not generic; Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design 3 serve as your guiding principles.
β’ Senior-level Figma expertise: Auto Layout, Variables, Design Tokens, interactive components, Dev Mode/Handoff; your files are structured to eliminate developer queries.
β’ Component Library & Design System: You create scalable components: states, variants, tokens, all thoroughly documented.
β’ Upholding visual quality: visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, color system; you can identify issues and understand their causes.
β’ Pixel-perfect delivery: specifications, annotations, and ready for handoff.
β’ Fundamentals of UI motion: transitions and micro-interactions; a foundational understanding is required, but you donβt need to be a specialist.
β’ Close collaboration with Product & Engineering: async-first, documented decisions, and clean iterations.
β’ A portfolio showcasing at least 2 launched native apps (iOS or Android) with a clearly defined UI role.
β’ Mastery of Figma: Auto Layout, Variables/Design Tokens, Component Libraries, Prototyping, Dev Mode.
β’ Understanding of mobile platforms: familiarity with iOS HIG and Android Material Design 3; knowledge of platform-native patterns is essential.
β’ Strong visual craftsmanship: visual hierarchy, typography, spacing/grid, color system, and contrast.
β’ Clean developer handoff.
β’ Ability to work independently in a remote setup, async-first, with structured communication.
β’ Remote-first: No office, no mandatory presence.
β’ Direct impact: Real app, real users, no internal tool design.
β’ Short decision-making processes: Feedback is direct, specific, and free from political layers.
β’ Competitive compensation: Daily rate based on experience and portfolio; we discuss this openly in the first conversation.
β’ Fair collaboration: Sustainable performance rather than a burnout culture; we measure results, not online hours.
β’ Extension option: If it fits well, we will have an open discussion after two months.
