This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +24 more states.
• Conduct thorough reviews and investigations of reports concerning suspicious, abusive, fraudulent, or policy-violating behaviors on the Handshake platform.
• Assess user accounts, employer profiles, job postings, messages, and other activities on the platform for potential trust and safety risks.
• Accurately and consistently enforce Handshake’s community guidelines, acceptable use policies, and marketplace standards.
• Recognize patterns of abuse, fraud, spam, scams, impersonation, or other detrimental behaviors.
• Clearly document investigations, including evidence analyzed, actions taken, and the reasoning behind decisions made.
• Address escalations from internal teams and ensure timely, thoughtful resolutions for cases.
• Assist with queue-based moderation and investigation workflows, while adhering to quality and productivity standards.
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to enhance detection, escalation, and enforcement processes.
• Offer insights on policy gaps, emerging risks, tooling requirements, and operational enhancements.
• Uphold user privacy, confidentiality, and exercise sound judgment when dealing with sensitive information.
• 1–3+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, content moderation, fraud investigation, risk operations, marketplace integrity, customer support, or a similar field.
• Strong judgment and the ability to apply policies consistently in nuanced situations.
• Exceptional attention to detail and comfort with reviewing large volumes of information.
• Proficient written communication skills, including the ability to document decisions and articulate complex issues succinctly.
• Experience using internal tools, ticketing systems, CRM platforms, or moderation queues.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Comfort in handling sensitive, potentially distressing, or ambiguous content, demonstrating high integrity, discretion, and respect for user privacy.
