Adjunct Faculty, CFP Education

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Instructors will be accountable for every aspect of the CFP© education course delivery.

• The instructor will act as subject matter experts and advocates for students while providing exceptional classroom experiences to Kaplan learners.

• Address program and course learning outcomes in the College for Financial Planning materials, ensuring that instruction is delivered at the appropriate academic level.

• Employ best pedagogical practices to create engaging educational experiences that foster critical thinking, academic rigor, and intellectual curiosity.

• Design outstanding and captivating educational experiences within College courses.

• Exhibit respect towards students and establish expectations for them to participate in respectful academic discourse.

• Maintain open lines of communication with students, respond promptly, and offer constructive feedback.

• Fulfill other responsibilities as assigned or agreed upon with deans, chairs, or program coordinators.

⛳️ Requirements

• A terminal degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the relevant discipline OR a master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline AND a minimum of five years of experience in the financial services industry.

• At least two of the following qualifications:

• Certifications or licenses directly associated with the discipline area (such as CFP®).

• Publications, presentations, or other intellectual contributions related to the discipline.

• A minimum of 200 teaching contact hours AND evidence of teaching excellence as demonstrated by teaching evaluations, awards, or letters of support from students.

• Over one year of experience in both industry and higher education instruction.

• Outstanding computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google applications, Adobe, and learning management systems.

• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication abilities, a self-starter with high energy and a strong work ethic, adept at meeting tight deadlines, demonstrating high reasoning capabilities, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
