This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Reporting to the Service Director, the Traveling Wind Farm Service Technician plays a vital role in delivering operational support across our national fleet.
β’ This position is essential for maintaining site performance, providing on-site technical leadership, and facilitating quick troubleshooting of intricate electrical assets.
β’ You will act as a liaison between site management, internal engineering teams, and our clients to guarantee optimal turbine availability and fleet efficiency.
β’ This position will necessitate frequent travel to our various wind farm locations.
β’ At a minimum, possess a registered Workers License Electrical (A-Grade or equivalent).
β’ Demonstrated prior experience in the Onshore Wind sector or a similar heavy industry (minimum five years) is highly valued.
β’ Must be designated as the Electrical Supervisor in accordance with the Registered Electrical Contractors license and hold the position of Nominated Qualified Supervisor - Electrical on behalf of the company.
β’ Understanding of basic AC/DC electrical circuits and capability to troubleshoot and perform circuit analysis (24VDC, 166VDC, 120, 230, 400, 575, 690VAC);
β’ Proven experience in High Voltage switching and operations.
β’ Possess a current High Voltage operating certificate or the ability to obtain one.
β’ Skilled in fault finding for electrical and hydraulic equipment.
β’ Trained to an intermediate level in computer skills.
β’ Must be capable of climbing wind turbines and performing physically demanding tasks at heights.
β’ Experience working in remote locations and independently.
β’ Should be willing to travel more than 65% of the year.
