
Traveling Wind Turbine Blade Technician, Rope Access Level 2/3

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +22 more states.
β’ Travel extensively on a rotational basis to wind farms across the U.S., utilizing air or truck transportation for cross-country travel.
β’ Execute composite blade repairs at height using platforms, rope access, and occasionally on the ground.
β’ Conduct epoxy and polyester resin wet layup.
β’ Perform vacuum infusion processes.
β’ Work with balsa and foam sandwich materials.
β’ Carry out structural repairs.
β’ Complete detailed Daily Progress Reporting Documents and Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) reports.
β’ Conduct onsite inventory checks.
β’ Support the site lead and project coordinator as required.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of experience in composite repair.
β’ Possession of SPRAT or IRATA Rope Access Level 2 or Level 3 certification.
β’ Familiarity with epoxy and polyester resins, wet lay-up methods, and vacuum bagging techniques.
β’ Knowledge of handling balsa and foam core materials.
β’ Understanding of fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair principles.
β’ Capability to safely and effectively use powered hand tools.
β’ Proficient knowledge of specifications, including temperature and humidity constraints.
β’ Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and processes.
β’ Competent in IT skills (email, internet, iPad).
β’ Willingness to be away from home while in the field.
β’ Flexibility to accommodate changes in project scope.
β’ Strong teamwork skills and the ability to follow guidance.
β’ Valid and current driver's license.
β’ Must be at least 21 years old to operate a company vehicle.
β’ Capable of meeting the physical demands of the role, including climbing ladders multiple times per day up to 300 feet/90 meters, bending, crawling, stooping, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
β’ Eligibility for the position is limited to U.S. or Canadian citizens or those legally authorized to work in either country.
