Traveling Retail Construction Superintendent

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee the complete lifecycle of construction projects, ensuring adherence to execution, safety, and quality standards.

• Manage daily operations on job sites from mobilization to project completion.

• Analyze project manuals, drawings, and specifications to facilitate effective execution.

• Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, and site logistics to achieve project deadlines.

• Identify potential risks, modify plans, and implement solutions to ensure continuous progress.

• Ensure all work is in line with design intent while accommodating field conditions.

• Lead Requests for Information (RFIs), inspections, and permitting processes until project closeout.

• Maintain detailed daily reporting, including updates on progress and photographic documentation.

• Supervise final project completion and handover to clients.

• Direct field staff and subcontractors to promote productivity and accountability.

• Manage project schedules and proactively address any delays that arise.

• Enforce safety protocols and conduct weekly toolbox talks.

• Inspect work to ensure it meets quality, accuracy, and compliance standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position within the construction industry.

• At least 5 years of experience in a relevant trade or field environment.

• Strong knowledge of commercial or retail construction processes.

• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and project specifications.

• Familiarity with project management tools (Procore, PlanGrid, Autodesk Build preferred).

• Willingness to travel frequently and work nights or weekends as needed.

• Capability to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), background check, and drug screening.
