This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +6 more states.
• Supervise job sites and construction projects, including setting goals and organizing activities to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Lead and manage the efforts of Crew Members and Subcontractors to complete tasks within the specified time frame, budget, and to the satisfaction of customers.
• Direct the execution of daily tasks as outlined in the Scope of Work (SOW).
• Identify and report observations that may impact the project schedule, budget, quality, safety, and completion, including changes in the scope of work.
• Communicate daily objectives to the crew and delegate tasks to crew members based on their skill sets.
• Provide performance feedback to team members.
• Submit all necessary daily, weekly, and monthly reports and documentation (such as JSA, receipts, inspections, audits, and other assigned documents).
• Approve all daily time sheets for the crew.
• Coordinate management responsibilities with the Construction Manager.
• Ensure that team members adhere to safety protocols and plans, work safely, and properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Confirm that all materials required for the work are available at the job site when needed, identify any missing materials, and collaborate with Construction Managers to obtain any necessary missing items to efficiently complete assigned tasks.
• Conduct an inventory of job site materials at the start and conclusion of each project.
• Ensure that trucks, trailers, tools, and equipment are inspected, used correctly, organized, and maintained in good working order.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety at the job site throughout the workday and once the job is completed.
• Carry out crew and team member duties as necessary.
• Lead and manage assigned staff while performing supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws, which include: training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising and reporting performance, coaching and mentoring, and resolving complaints and problems.
• Additional duties as assigned.
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience as a Foreman in a similar industry.
• Possession of a Journeyworker Electrician license.
• Basic technical knowledge of the work managed and performed by the team.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and reasoning abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to workflow changes.
• Ability to oversee multiple subordinates, crew members, and subcontractors with diverse backgrounds, skills, and personalities.
• Skill in preparing and scheduling step-by-step action plans.
• Competence in performing trade-specific tasks and operating necessary tools and equipment.
• Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, schematics, and the Scope of Work.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code, electrical systems, installations, and designs.
• Proficiency in electrical installations, materials, tools, testing, and techniques.
• Experienced in installing electrical conduit, wiring, cables, lighting, devices, and other electrical systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of communicating effectively, clearly, and concisely in both spoken and written forms with peers, management, and customers.
• Able to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels and from various backgrounds.
• Willingness to learn and utilize software provided by Premise.
• Knowledgeable about construction, quality, safety, and OSHA guidelines.
• Specific certifications and licenses as required.
• Per diem may be offered to employees who qualify under the company's Travel and Per Diem Policy.
