This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Deliver travel services tailored for VIP and Executive level business travelers, organizing domestic and/or international air, ground transportation, hotel accommodations, and other travel-related services as requested.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure excellent service delivery and achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with clients and vendors.
• Mentor less experienced travel advisors as required.
• Engage with customers both verbally and in writing to ascertain their destination, transportation preferences, travel dates, budget considerations, accommodations, and necessary services.
• Interpret client instructions to draw accurate conclusions and formulate precise travel arrangements.
• Utilize additional resources when needed.
• Coordinate travel-related service bookings, including air, rail, car, car service, hotel reservations, seat assignments, and any other client-requested accommodations.
• Possess a comprehensive understanding of international travel, including fare structures, pricing, available resources, and travel documentation requirements.
• Manage and execute the use of upgrades and loyalty programs, ensuring follow-through to confirm services were delivered.
• Consult with clients and proactively anticipate their needs to achieve optimal results.
• Implement travel plans with a high degree of accuracy while navigating unexpected challenges.
• Conduct Quality Control on each reservation prior to directing them to the appropriate ticketing/quality control queue.
• Address customer service issues using available resources through leadership or vendor representatives when needed.
• Review incoming correspondence and materials as necessary; prioritize, summarize, and respond in a timely manner.
• Relay all essential information to travelers and travel arrangers to ensure expectations are met.
• Maintain reservations in a completed status regardless of whether ticketing authorization was received during the call.
• Monitor assigned queues and tasks throughout the day to ensure reservations and tasks are precise and complete.
• Ensure all team tasks are completed or reassigned by the end of the shift.
• Collaborate with the leadership team to identify opportunities for process improvement and continuous enhancement of the travel program.
• Collect payments from customers for travel services in accordance with the Client’s Travel Policy and CTM Policy and Procedures.
• Stay informed on industry developments by reading daily briefings and industry announcements.
• Engage in training opportunities to enhance travel knowledge and customer service skills.
• Maintain a thorough working knowledge of GDS and any other products used for the specific account being managed.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
• At least 2 years of experience as a travel counselor specializing in corporate/business travel.
• Proficiency with Sabre GDS is essential.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across all levels.
• Demonstrated professionalism and skills to uphold a positive image.
• High level of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding any business-related information, observations, or viewpoints.
• Strong motivation paired with a sense of responsibility, accountability, and responsiveness.
• Proficient in technology and PC literacy.
• Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
