This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gather, input, maintain, and report data for the Trauma Center as mandated by relevant regulatory bodies.
• Apply analytical, cognitive, and leadership abilities for injury research, epidemiology, prevention initiatives, and performance enhancement.
• Identify trauma patients who fulfill the inclusion criteria for the trauma registry.
• Extract precise information from the trauma patient medical records for the Trauma Registry promptly.
• Review, analyze, and interpret data from existing patient information systems.
• Resolve missing or inconsistent data and liaise with external agencies for medical records.
• Collect, input, and submit data to the state as required.
• Create monthly dashboards, routine reports, annual reports, and address special requests for statistical data.
• Serve as a member of the Trauma Committee.
• Attend and engage in regional and state trauma meetings.
• Engage in professional development to ensure proficiency and knowledge in trauma data information.
• Regularly review and validate trauma registry data.
• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Acquire Certified Trauma Registrar Certification through the American Trauma Society.
• Hold Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification via the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
• One (1) year of experience in Trauma Registry or Health Information Management.
• Familiarity with medical record content, medical terminology, coding, and anatomy and physiology.
