This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluates patient medical records and extracts data for the Trauma Registry.

• Accurately and consistently applies registry specifications, definitions, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and abstraction guidelines.

• Analyzes clinical documentation and inputs detailed injury and care data into the trauma registry database, encompassing mechanism of injury, injury severity, clinical course, interventions, complications, and outcomes in line with trauma standards.

• Inputs precise and comprehensive data into designated registry platforms, electronic health records (EHRs), vendor tools, or other data collection systems.

• Upholds a high standard of abstraction accuracy, completeness, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Achieves assigned productivity targets, weekly progress goals, and adheres to internal and client deadlines.

• Engages in quality assurance activities, including feedback, corrections, validation, and inter-rater reliability (IRR) reviews.

• Maintains professional communication with account leads, team members, and client representatives when clarification is required.

• Ensures strict confidentiality and compliance with ADN, client, HIPAA, and data security regulations.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Trauma Registry abstraction.

• Relevant trauma registry and coding education is mandatory, including proof of completion for the Trauma Registry Course, AAAM AIS Coding Course, and an ICD-10 coding course completed within the last five years.

• Capability to independently abstract Trauma cases utilizing registry specifications and clinical documentation.

• Solid understanding of healthcare quality reporting, registry abstraction, clinical documentation review, and medical record interpretation.

• Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines.

• Exceptional attention to detail, organization, documentation, and follow-through skills.

• Comfort in working with multiple EHRs, registry platforms, vendor tools, and data collection systems as assigned.

• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
